Soitinrakentajat AmF is a cooperative of 7 craftspersons. We build musical instruments both as a company and as individuals.


Our workshop by the Leppävirta-river.

As a company Soitinrakentajat AmF offers primarily small Kanteles, accessories for them and other musical instrument acessories. These are normally quickly available from the self.


Some musical instruments by order are made by individual crafsmen. Orders should be addressed and the terms agreed directly with some of them.


These five string kanteles are ready to come to You!








Instruments made by individual craftsmen are build by particular order only. Each maker is more or less specialized. The following descriptions are not complete:

Jouni Kurki
Office, orders, deliveries. Jouni is the one who most often answers the phone, when You call.

Jouni makes rums, reparations, workshops on drum-building

Jussi Höylä
Small kanteles, chromatically stringed kanteles, tuning wrenches, reparations

Jyrki Pölkki
Guitars, basses, kanteles, reparations, specialities, theories and lectures.

Keijo Säteri
Small kanteles, jouhikkos, mandolins, large kanteles, reparations

Olavi Kallioinen
Small kanteles, chromaticly stringed kanteles, kanteles of Saarijärvi-model.

Kanteleorchestra! The orchestra of small kanteles was established 2001.
